What is Neurofeedback?

Neurofeedback is a type of biofeedback that measures brain waves to produce a signal that can be used to teach self-regulation of brain activity.

Conditions We Manage

We are especially concerned with the more “intractable” brain-based problems of childhood whose needs are not currently being met.

Peak Performance

Neurofeedback is effectively used to enhance performance. Peak performance is an easily recognized mental state where one is both focused and present.

WHO CAN BENEFIT?

Individuals of all ages can benefit from Neurofeedback. It helps relieve symptoms of:

ADD

Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is one of the most common childhood brain disorders and can continue through adolescence and adulthood.

Anxiety

There are common symptoms of anxiety that people experience in terms of feelings, behaviors, thoughts, and physical sensations.

Addiction

People with an addiction do not have control over what they are doing, taking or using. Their addiction may reach a point at which it is harmful.

Pain

Pain is one of several sensory systems that keep us apprised of the status of our bodies. As we hurry through our daily lives, we usually view pain at the very least as an inconvenience, if not a major disruption.

Epilepsy

Epilepsy is caused by abnormal activity in brain cells so seizures can affect any process your brain coordinates. Symptoms vary depending on the type of seizure.

Peak Performance

Neurofeedback is effectively used to enhance performance. Peak performance is an easily recognized mental state where one is both focused and present.

Autism

Neurofeedback has been shown to help individuals resolve troublesome patterns, such as anger, with social deficiencies, obsessions, and impulse control.

Migraines

Migraines, as well as tension headaches, are very disruptive to our lives. Neurofeedback training has been shown to reduce headache frequency, intensity, and duration.

Sleep Issues

Sleep problems reduce school, work performance and negatively impact social relationships. Neurofeedback training has been proven to ``calm`` the brain and make it more efficient.

PTSD

Neureofeedback is a commonly used therapy for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) that often gives good results. When the patient talks about the trauma that precipitated the PTSD, she or he slowly becomes less sensitive to PTSD.
